Lim Young-woong Concert Live Broadcast Achieves Record Viewership on TVING
The exclusive live broadcast of Lim Young-woong’s ‘IM HERO TOUR 2025-Seoul’ concert on the OTT platform TVING (CEO Choi Joo-hee) on December 30th, 2023, garnered notable viewership and positive user feedback.
The live broadcast, originating from the KSPO DOME in Olympic park at 5:00 PM KST, peaked with a live viewing share of 95.3% during the same time slot. This performance marked the highest total number of unique viewers (UV) and concurrent users for a single live event on TVING throughout the year.
TVING attributes the success to its “Live Full Package” approach, designed to enhance the viewing experience beyond a typical concert setting. this included a range of services leveraging the platform’s operational expertise and live content planning capabilities.
Prior to the concert, TVING offered ‘live advance alarm requests’ to ensure viewers didn’t miss the start. A ‘Tving Live Tutorial’ simplified access to the live stream, and a special greeting video from Lim Young-woong was released for fans.
An hour-long pre-live broadcast featured interaction between special MCs and fans via ‘TV Talk’, creating a more immersive experience.TVING also prioritized a stable, high-definition streaming environment to accommodate the large number of simultaneous connections during the performance.
Real-time feedback on ‘Tving Talk’ demonstrated strong thankfulness for both Lim Young-woong’s performance and the quality of the live broadcast service. Viewers who missed the initial broadcast, or wish to re-watch, will have access to a replay service for a fee.
