After doing a fully staged musical adaptation of โA Christmas Carolโ for several years, St.โ petersburgโsโ freeFall Theatre shifted to an outdoor concert version during the pandemic in 2020. The company brought that version back forโข a limited engagement in 2024โindoorsโand that was such a hit (Cathy Salustri of โThe gabberโ called it โstupendousโ) that they brought it back for a longer run this year.
Featuring original songs by Keith Fergusonโ and Bruce Greer โฃandโฃ also familiar carols,โA Christmas Carol in Concert 2025โ will be โคperformed by four singers โ โheather Baird,Eric Davis,Sara โDelBeato and Jonathan Harrison.
The redoubtable Matthew McGee is the narrator, who plays Scrooge and all the other roles. (Anyone who โฃsawโ McGee do the American Stage one-man adaptation of โItโsโข a Wonderful Lifeโ three โขyears ago knows heโs up โto the task, orโ rather the multi-task.)
With musical direction by โขMichaelโค Raabe and video elementsโ incorporating P.J. Lynchโs famous illustrations for โฃthe original novella, this promises to be, inโ McGeeโs words, โso unique and very moving.โ
