Suspect Apprehended in Beverly Hills Shooting
BEVERLY HILLS, FL – Authorities have taken a suspect into custody following a violent incident late Tuesday night in beverly Hills, where a man was shot multiple times. The Citrus County SheriffS Office (CCSO) responded to a 911 call at approximately 10:40 p.m. reporting a shooting at a residence on North Washington Street.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered two victims. A female, who was inside the home at the time, and a male who had sustained several gunshot wounds. According to a CCSO report, preliminary findings indicate that the suspect, identified as Foster, confronted the female victim as she exited the home. foster allegedly brandished a firearm, forcing his way into the residence.
The investigation suggests Foster then proceeded to the rear of the house, where he encountered the male victim. Victim statements indicate Foster discharged his firearm multiple times, striking the male victim in the neck, arm, hand, and groin. The injured man was able to escape to a neighboring residence to seek assistance.
Foster was located and apprehended without incident shortly after the shooting. He has been charged with attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (without intent to kill), and home invasion with a firearm. He is currently being held without bond at the Citrus County Detention Facility.The male victim was airlifted to an area hospital with injuries described as life-threatening. His current condition has not been released.
Citrus County Sheriff David Vincent commented on the incident, stating, “this kind of violence has no place in our community. Thanks to the fast actions of our deputies, we were able to identify and apprehend the suspect swiftly. Our agency remains committed to protecting our citizens and ensuring that those who commit violent crimes are held fully accountable.”
