Kirk, a โคgraduate of Wheeling High School,โ was roughlyโฃ 20 minutes into his speech when the โshooting occurred around 12:10 p.m. Graphic video circulating on social media shows Kirk falling from his chair immediately after a gunshot rang out. Utah Valley University immediately closed it’s โขcampus for the remainder of the day.โข
Wheeling High School District released a statement saying,โค “Asโ a former โstudent of Wheeling High School, โCharlie will always โฃremain part of our community. We are deeply saddened by his passing.โ Violence is neverโ acceptable,โค and todayโข we mourn hisโ passing.”
