Noahโ Centineo in Talks to Star Alongside โฃSydney Sweeney in Live-Action ‘Gundam‘ Film
Noah Centineo โis in discussions to joinโค Sydney Sweeney in Legendary Entertainment’s upcoming live-action adaptationโ of the iconic anime series gundam. The potential casting adds another rising star toโ the project, which is being penned by Jim Mickle, best known for creating Netflix‘s Sweet Tooth and having written the script for an untitled Gundam feature.
The Gundam franchise, which originated as an anime in 1979, centers on a futuristic war between Earth and space colonies seeking independence, fought using giant robots called mechas. Legendary’sโฃ adaptation reportedly envisions a Romeo & Juliet-esque romance between Sweeney’s character and the male lead,placing them on opposing sides of the conflict. Sources โindicate โคSweeney is actively involved in the casting process โfor her co-star.
Centineo gained prominence through netflix’s To โฃAll the Boys I’ve Loved Before and hasโ as expanded his roles to include the DC superhero Atom Smasherโค in Black Adam โค and a partโ in A24’s Warfare. He is currently preparing to shoot a prequel โฃto โ Rambo in โฃearly 2025.
