Terry McLaurin โRuled Out forโ Commanders‘ Matchup Against Cowboys
LANDOVER, MD – Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin has been ruled outโ for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys due to a lingering quad injury. While McLaurin initially showed optimismโ for a return after limited practice participation โฃon Wednesday, he did not practiceโ on Thursday and was observed on theโฃ field Friday โคwithout a helmet.
“It’s frustrating for him, becauseโ he’s โworkingโฃ at it hard,” head coachโ Dan Quinn said after Friday’s practice. “It’s just not readyโ yet, โand that sometimes happens whenโ you haveโข a soft tissue injuryโ and you’re wanting it to get there. But you โคhaveโค to pushโข it at the top speeds.”
McLaurin’s absenceโฃ further strainsโฃ the Commanders’ receiving corps, already impacted โขby Noah Brown’s placement on โInjured โReserve. โSecond-yearโฃ pro Luke โMcCaffrey has stepped up with three touchdowns in the last four games,โ and rookie Jaylin Lane โrecorded a 37-yard reception against the Chicago Bears on Monday. The Commanders also face uncertainty withโข wide receiver Deebo Samuel, listed โฃas questionable with a heel injury after missing Wednesdayโค and Thursday’s practices, though โhe did participate in some repsโ Friday.Samuel stated, “we’ll just haveโ to see”โข when asked about his availability.
