VILNIUS, Lithuania – Theโ increasing availability of Ozempic โฃthroughโ illicit channels is raising serious health concerns, with expertsโค warning of potential weight regain, โincreased bodyโฃ fat, and a โคheightened risk of developingโข diabetes. Dr. A.Sujeta, a medical professional, warns โฃthat repeated cycles of weight loss and regain with Ozempic can lead to a detrimental shift in bodyโข composition.
“If a personโข is able to loseโข weight by 15-20 % and then โgains this weight back, he will no doubt haveโ more fat, less โmuscle. weigh maybe less, but fat โขwill be more, muscles will no longer be able to cope with excess glucose and may develop the same diabetes,” Dr. Sujeta stated.

According to Aistฤ Tautvydienฤ,a spokesperson for The State Medicines Control Agencyโค (VVKT),both the sellerโค and โขthe buyer are committing a violation under the codeโค of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Lithuania,with investigations being led by the police.

The agency further noted that even legallyโค obtained Ozempic has potential side effectsโ and requires specific โstorage conditions, with its suitability expiring once opened.
“I also want to emphasize that prescription drugs are not a simple commodity and โcannot be freely โฃsold without a prescription, as it would endanger humanโ health.In addition,โ if the resident needs prescriptionโ medication, they are prescribed only by a physician who has thoroughly examined the patient and โdiagnosis,” Tautvydienฤ concluded.
