Kumho Resort launches ‘Bedding Circular Journey: Green Loop’ Upcycling Campaign
Kumhoโ Resort is bolstering its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives with the launch of the โข’Bedding Circular Journey: green Loop’ campaign, transforming discarded beddingโ into eco-friendlyโ products.โ The resort announcedโค on november โฃ18th a collaboration with eco-friendly upcycling social enterprise ‘Consciousness‘ to create green โfelt storage boxes from recycled bedding materials.
The vegan-certified storage boxes are available in open, tray, and foldable โformats. Starting in December, they will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis to customers booking rooms through Trip Bitoz’s โข’Kumho Resort Brand โSpecial Exhibition,’ which runs until Novemberโค 23rd for stays through Januaryโ 31st of next year.
Kumho Resort aims to divert over 400 kg ofโ waste bedding annually from incineration through this โinitiative, reducing carbon emissions and promoting enduring travel. This builds on the resort’s existing ESG efforts, including the ‘Valuable Travel: Checkout for theโค Earth’ clothing donation campaign, which has โขcollected 5,100 unused garments from guests over the past two years, saving approximately 13.77 million liters ofโค water and creatingโ employment opportunities for โthe disabled through the sale of donated items.
“We planned this campaign so that people can naturally participate in eco-friendly activities through travel and continue the value of sustainabilityโ in their daily lives,”โฃ said a kumho Resort official. “We willโ continue to convey the valueโ of โข’sustainable rest’ byโฃ establishing aโข resource circulation system and strengtheningโข ESG practices.”
