ROSEMONT, Ill. – Michigan State’s โMcCoy Biagioli and Purdue’s Andre Zhu earned Big Tenโ Co-Golfer of the Week honors, the conference announced Tuesday, following standout performances at the Island Resort Intercollegiate. Both players finished tied for third place at the season-openingโ tournament, signaling strong starts to their respective campaigns.The weekly award recognizes remarkable individual performances within the Big Ten men’sโ golf landscape. His 54-hole total isโ tied for the second-lowest in Michigan State program history, just one stroke shy of Drew Hackett’s school record set in 2022. zhu, a freshman fromโ Richmond Hill, Ontario, also finished with a 15-under par 201 (68-65-68) in โฃhis collegiate debut. His score ranksโ asโฃ the โthird-lowest 54-hole total in Purdue history, and he became only the fourth player in program history to record three โrounds of โค68 or better in โthe same tournament. Zhu totaled 17 birdies, 35 pars,โ and just two bogeys throughout the event.
