What an insane derby! Dynamo Dresden celebrates in the first third division home game of the new season, turning a 0-2 deficit against Energie Cottbus into a 4-2 victory.

The atmosphere was fantastic, the Harbig Stadium was sold out with 30,795 spectators. Both fan groups put on great choreographies – and the almost usual pyrotechnics.

The beginning of the game was accordingly hazy. But Cottbus quickly regained their perspective and punished two very bad Dynamo mistakes with icy coldness.

First, Kutschke personally converted a penalty after Kammerknecht was pulled to the ground by Pronichev by his shirt (27′).

Just six minutes later, the goal exploded: After a great through ball from Lemmer, Menzel rounded the Energie keeper and slotted in to make it 2-2 (33′). The youngster’s first competitive goal for the pros – as beautiful as it was important.

Dresden almost took the lead before half-time, but Casar’s header hit the underside of the crossbar (45′).

WHAT AN INSANE 45 MINUTES!

And after the break, the Dynamos continue where they left off, clearly superior on the field.

Meißner and Heise make everything clear

Only the third goal is not coming (yet). There are chances to do so (including Casar, Menzel, Daferner, Heise).

But twelve minutes before the end, the time has come! And the 3:2 is another crazy thing!

After Heise’s corner, Rorig hits the ball against his own crossbar. Robin Meißner sinks the rebound for the much-celebrated opening goal.

Then Dynamo Dresden Nothing left to burn. On the contrary: Philip Heise made everything clear with the 4:2 in injury time – and his mistake at the beginning was now forgotten. It couldn’t have gone better at the start…
