Brahim Diaz’s Desire to Defend Moroccan National Team Amid Lack of Opportunity in Spanish National Team

Madrid –

Brahim Diaz said to want to defend Moroccan national team. This desire is present because Diaz is not relied on by many Spanish national team.

Diaz has previously always been a mainstay of the Spanish national team in the age group. He appeared with the Spanish U-17, U-19 and U-21 national teams. Diaz also helped bring the U-17 Spanish National Team to runner up in the 2016 U-17 European Cup.

However, in the senior Spanish national team, Diaz had difficulty getting regular call-ups. He only played once for the Matadors against Lithuania in June 2021. After that, he was never looked at again.

In fact, Diaz’s appearance was quite good when he was loaned to AC Milan last season. This season, he also got playing minutes with Real Madrid.

This condition made Diaz reportedly start to want to defend the Moroccan national team. Diaz was able to get a Moroccan passport because his father was from that country.

Diaz also complies with FIFA regulations regarding players who can move to the country they play for. FIFA rules state that players with dual passports can change national teams if they play no more than three times for the national team before turning 21. This is because Diaz has only played once for the Spanish national team.

If the request for a transfer to defend the national team is approved, Diaz has the closest opportunity to defend Morocco at the 2024 African Cup of Nations which will take place in January 2024.

Spain and Morocco are geographically close. Several players currently defending Morocco were also born and live in Spain.

Currently in the Moroccan national team there is Achraf Hakimi who was born in Madrid and Abde Ezzalzouli who moved from childhood to Spain.

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

Spain became the first team to ensure qualification for the semifinals World Cup 2023. The result was obtained after defeating the Netherlands 2-1 in the quarter-finals, Friday (11/8).

The duel between the two teams ended equally strong in the first round. Neither Spain nor the Netherlands were able to score a goal and had to settle for a goalless draw until the break.

Drama ensued in the second half. Spain managed to score an advantage in the 81st minute thanks to Mariona Caldentey’s penalty.

The referee pointed to the spot after reviewing the VAR. Stefanie van der Gragt was judged to be handball when trying to block a cross in the penalty box.

Caldentey, who was plotted as an executioner, successfully carried out his duties perfectly. His shot towards the bottom left corner tricked goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar.

Left behind by one goal to make the Netherlands not broken. Andries Jonker’s squad continues to try to catch up in the remaining time.

As a result, Van der Gragt was able to equalize in injury time to be precise in the 90’+1 minute. The 1-1 draw lasted until the game was over and forced the game to go into extra time 2 x 15 minutes.

Barcelona’s young player, Salma Paralluelo, emerged as a hero after scoring a goal in the 111th minute.

Receiving Jenni Hermoso’s pass, Paralluelo, who entered as a substitute, calmly struck the round skin to the left of the goal to bring Spain 2-1 ahead.

Thus, Spain is the first team to qualify for the semifinals of the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Spain will face the winner of Japan vs Sweden which will compete at the Eden Park Stadium this afternoon.

While the other two quarter-final matches will take place on Saturday (12/8). Australia will face France, while England will meet Colombia.

Spain Takes Responsibility in Scotland, Turkey’s Kökçü Defeated by Croatia – NU.nl

Spain suffered a painful defeat on Tuesday in the qualifying series for the European Championship of 2024. The three-time European champion lost 2-0 to Scotland. Feyenoord player Orkun Kökçü could not surprise Croatia with Turkey: 0-2.

Spain’s disgrace showed itself early on at Hampden Park. After seven minutes of play, Scott McTominay opened the scoring in Glasgow. The Manchester United midfielder tapped in a cross from Andrew Robertson, with Spain goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga not unpunished.

Spain failed to equalize via striker Joselu and was presented with the bill. After Spain’s poor defense, McTominay had a free shooting opportunity shortly after the break, which the midfielder did not miss.

Scotland’s first victory over Spain in 39 years takes the lead in Group A of the qualifying series for the 2024 European Championship in Germany. On Saturday, the Scots won the first game against Cyprus 3-0. Spain then triumphed 3-0 against Norway.

There is still little going on for Spain. The numbers one and two qualify directly for the European Championship at the end of the qualifying series. In addition, Norway did not get further than a 1-1 draw against Georgia earlier in the day.

Spain will travel to the Netherlands in June for the final round of the Nations League. Italy is the opponent in the semifinals in Enschede. The Orange or Croatia, who are in the other semi-final, awaits in the final.

Stand in groep A

  • 1. Schotland 2-6 (+5)
  • 2. Spanje 2-3 (+1)
  • 3. Noorwegen 2-1 (-3)
  • 4. Georgië 1-1 (0)
  • 5. Cyprus 1-0 (-3)

Kökçü cannot stunt with Turkey

Feyenoord player Kökçü could not help Turkey with a sensation against Croatia. The Croats won 0-2 in Bursa, where an impressive banner was displayed before kick-off in memory of the victims of the country’s severe earthquakes.

Croatia had already reached the final score at halftime thanks to two goals from Mateo Kovacic. Kökçü was taken off halfway through the second half. At first glance, this was not due to an injury, as was the case with his Dutch clubmates Lutsharel Geertruida and Mats Wieffer.

Wales gave Saturday’s surprising draw against Croatia a good follow-up with a 1-0 win over Latvia. The highlight was the honoring of record international Gareth Bale, who said goodbye to the audience before kick-off. Bale abruptly ended his impressive career in January, which took him past Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur, among others.

Switzerland also beat Israel in group I (3-0) and thus had a clear start to the European Championship qualifying series. Previously, the Swiss were too strong for Belarus with 0-5. Switzerland is tied in points with Romania, which won 2-1 against Belarus on Tuesday.

Stand in groep D

  • 1. Wales 2-4 (+1)
  • 2. Kroatië 2-4 (+2)
  • 3. Turkije 2-3 (-1)
  • 4. Armenië 1-0 (-1)
  • 5. Letland 1-0 (-1)

Enrique Outspoken wants to return a player to the 2022 World Cup

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com December 14, 2022
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

Former coach Spanish Luis Enrique has admitted that he planned to send home a player who did not meet his expectations World Cup 2022.

Since winning the 2010 World Cup, Spain have seen a dramatic decline in the same event. The Matador squad was affected by the curse of the defending champion team that did not qualify for the group stage.

At the 2018 World Cup, Spain’s steps stopped in the round of 16 after being defeated by Russia. Now, Alvaro Morata cs has been eliminated in the quarterfinals after being defeated by Morocco in a penalty shootout.

Previously, Spain also stumbled in the group stage. They had to settle for being runners-up after being defeated by Japan in their last match.

Spain’s poor performance in Qatar had to be paid for by failing in the quarter-finals. The Spanish Football Federation was forced to take a firm stance by not extending Enrique’s contract.

Enrique admits he made mistakes in his leadership with Spain. Especially choosing a player who actually appeared underwhelming.

“I’ll be honest with you, I’m going to replace a player. I won’t mention his name, but I want to swap him for another player,” Enrique said. Sports bible.

“My personal assessment is that there’s a player I want to replace with another player. Not for bad behavior, but I see it’s not what I expected,” he continued.

The former Barcelona manager denied that one of the players in question was Pablo Sarabia, who played just five minutes as a substitute against Morocco.

“I think Pablo Sarabia deserved more than the five minutes I gave him. This time I would even make him a starter,” said Enrique.
