Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the most sought-after destinations for these domestic stays, with approximately 31% of hotel searches concentrated on four-star properties. This surge in demand has led to a 17% increase in average hotel rates for Ramadan 2026, reflecting the popularity of short domestic breaks.
The data reveals a change in traveler priorities, with location now playing a more crucial role than amenities alone. Travelers are increasingly prioritizing hotels with convenient access to mosque districts, cultural venues, Ramadan tents, and evening promenades, allowing them to seamlessly integrate Iftar gatherings with late-night social and cultural activities. Nearly 75% of the most searched hotels are located near cultural districts, heritage sites, and landmarks, highlighting the importance of immersive experiences during Ramadan. Average airfares for these regional trips have increased by 9% year-on-year, but demand remains strong.
