SEATTLE – The Seattle Soundersโ claimedโ the 2025 Leagues Cup title, defeating Inter Miami 3-0 inโ front of a record-breaking crowd of 69,314 fans. โGoals from Osaze De Rosario, Alex Roldan, and Paulโ Rothrock secured the victory for Seattle, adding another trophy to their impressive collection.
This Leagues Cup triumph marks โthe Sounders’ ninth major โคchampionship since joining Major League Soccer in 2009, solidifying their โขposition as a dominant force in North American soccer.Theโ win also denies Inter Miami, the 2023โ Leagues โCup champions, aโข repeat title and underscores Seattle’s resurgence โขas โa top contender.
De Rosario openedโ the scoring in the 26th โขminute, heading in aโฃ cross from Roldan. Roldanโค extended Seattle’s lead in the 84thโ minute, converting a penalty earned after a foul on Georgi Minoungou. Rothrock then sealed the result in the 89thโค minute, adding โa third goal โfor the Sounders.
