Giresun, Turkey – โคSema Danฤฑลmanz, 60, is facing her sixth cancer diagnosis with unwavering optimism, declaring she has “embraced living with cancers and even loved โขthem.” Diagnosed with sarcoma, aโ softโฃ tissue cancer, two months โago, Danฤฑลmanz has a history of overcoming Hodgkin lymphoma at age 16, followed by cancers of the armpit and breast (requiring a mastectomy at 38), and subsequent removal of her left kidney, gallbladder, and thyroid hormones.
Danฤฑลmanz’s remarkable resilience has led her to advocate for a positive โคmindset during cancer treatment. “I am not sick,โข I have cancer,” she stated, adding, “I have always used that aspect of cancerโฆ turn it โinto yourself.” She actively encourages fellow patients to leverage the support and consideration frequently enough afforded to those battling theโ disease.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding treatment for this latestโค diagnosis – currentlyโฃ at stage 3, with doctors still determiningโค the best course of action – Danฤฑลmanz remains confident.”I survived โคall of them. โขI know โthat I will overcome this,” sheโ affirmed.
