Sacramento Senator to Announce Legal Action Following DUI Citation
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – California State Senator Sabrinaโ cervantes will hold a media availability Monday โฃmorning to announce legal action stemming from a DUI citation she โขreceived in May, according to reports. The declaration comes after Cervantes maintained her innocence and toxicology results cleared โher of any โalcohol or drug use at the time of the incident.
Cervantes was cited on suspicion of โdriving underโข the influence of drugs following a collision โฃat 14th and S streets on May 19th while en route toโฃ the State Capitol. โฃSheโค sustained minor injuries in theโค crash. Initial reports โขfrom officersโค at the hospitalโ indicated signs of intoxication, but subsequent clarificationโค stated Cervantes did not exhibit signs of alcohol or drug impairment.
