Run Japan Launches Dedicated Marathon Information Hub
Hitachinaka, ibaraki Prefecture – September 17, 2025 – Runners seeking to participate in Japan’s renowned marathon events now have a centralized resource with the launch of ”Run Japan,” a new platform providing comprehensive information on races across the country. The initiative aims to streamline the application process and offer support for international athletes eager to experience Japan’s marathon culture.
Japan has become an increasingly popular destination for marathon runners, drawn by meticulously organized events, enthusiastic crowds, and scenic courses.However, navigating the application systems – often available only in Japanese – and logistical details can be challenging for foreign participants. Run Japan addresses these hurdles by consolidating key information, including race details, application procedures, and contact information for event organizers. Currently featured is information for the Katsuta National Marathon, with inquiries directed to the Katsuta National Marathon Organizing Committee Office at taiiku@city.hitachinaka.lg.jp.
