Man Sentenced to Life for Brutal Murder of Former Rolls-Royce Designer in Herrsching
Herrsching am Ammersee, germany – August 1, 2025 – A 23-year-old man has been handed a life sentence for the brutal murder of a 74-year-old pensioner in Herrsching am ammersee. The Munich II District Court found the Serbian national guilty of killing the former chief designer for Rolls-Royce with at least 13 stab wounds in his home. The court also persistent the guilt to be of special severity, making parole after 15 years highly unlikely.
The court established that the perpetrator was motivated by financial gain, having arrived in Germany from Serbia a month prior to the july 2024 crime with the intention of committing offenses to acquire money. He targeted the victim’s residence and booked a hotel room. His preparations included purchasing two knives, rubber gloves, and shoelaces from a supermarket.
According to the court’s findings, the man entered the victim’s house after ringing the doorbell and disabling surveillance cameras. He intended to carry out a “Home Invasion,” aware that two people resided in the house. Upon the senior citizen opening the door, the perpetrator attacked him with extreme force, stabbing him repeatedly. The court stated the defendant acted with “intent to kill” and an “absolute will to exterminate.”
Along with greed, the court identified the “enabling intent” as a feature of the murder. This applies when an individual commits a killing to facilitate another crime. The jury, however, rejected the murder characteristic of “insidious” intent. The defense had argued for a conviction of manslaughter, while the prosecution sought a life sentence. The verdict for murder and attempted aggravated robbery is not yet final, as both the prosecution and defense have the option to appeal to the Federal Court of Justice.
