Rome and Bio-Medico Campus Partner for Enduring Mobility
Rome and the Bio-Medico Campus are strengthening their commitment to a greener future through aโค renewed partnership, formalized within the “Alliance for Fullโ Sustainability 2023-2026” agreement with the IX Town Hall. This collaboration focuses on enhancing sustainable mobility for patients, students, staff, and โthe wider community through innovative infrastructure โฃand responsive transportation solutions.
Recentโ improvements to public transport in theโค university hospital area, including accommodations for largerโ buses and new, safer platforms, demonstrate the success of this public-private synergy. These changes seamlessly integrate the campus with RomeS broader transportation network, improving efficiency and โขaccessibility.
Coinciding with European Mobility Week, โคthe Campus unveiled a dedicated Mobility โCorner within itsโ park.โฃ This space serves as a hub for gathering โfeedback from the academic community and Foundation regarding โtheir transportation needs. Through surveys andโฃ data collection, the Campus aims โขto produce its first โข”One health Mobility Report,” informing future improvements and strategies.
“This partnership underscores the power of collaborative initiatives focused on innovation, safety, and environmental responsibility,” stated Domenico MastroTica,โ General Manager of the Bio-medico Campus. “The Social Green Masterplan provides the blueprint for translating our ‘One Health’ vision into tangible results. We are notably pleased to see the โactivation of new bus stops serving the university polyclinic and โขthe expansion โof on-demand bus service to Trigoria, directly addressingโ the mobility challenges faced by our community.”
Thisโ ongoing effort, deeply rooted inโฃ the Campus’s Social Green โขMasterplan, representsโข a significant strideโ towards โฃa more efficient and sustainable mobility system – one that prioritizes innovation, responsibility, and the well-being of the local community.
