SCC & RCC Partner to Expand โคHealthcare & Culinary Opportunities for Columbus County โStudents
WHITEVILLE, N.C. โ- Southeastern Community College (SCC) and Robeson Community Collegeโ (RCC)โ have formalized a new transfer agreement designed to broaden access toโค specialized programsโ for students in Columbus County. The “Strategic โRegional Partnership,” announced November 4th, will allow SCC students to seamlessly transfer toโ RCC โto pursue degrees in high-demand fields.
The agreementโ focuses on three key programs: Culinary Arts,Surgical Technology,and Respiratory Therapy.Students will be able to complete their โขgeneralโฃ education coursework at SCC before transferring toโค RCC to complete the specific requirements for these programs.
“This means the world toโ Columbus โCounty,” stated SCC President โDr.โ Chris English. “We’ve heard directly โขfrom theโข community and potential students about theโค need forโฃ these programs, areas we currently can’t fullyโค support atโ Southeastern. We are incredibly grateful to robeson Community College for stepping up to meet these โคneeds,not just locally,but across the region.”
Beginning inโค the fall 2026 semester, RCC willโข reserve dedicated โspaces โฃforโ SCC transfer students: six seats per cohort for Culinary Arts,โ and three seats each for Surgical Technologyโ and Respiratory Therapy.
All applicants to these โคprograms at RCC will be โrequired to meet all established program prerequisitesโ before โregistration.
