Kenvue Stock Plummets Amid Tylenol-Autism Report

by Priya Shah – Business Editor September 6, 2025
written by Priya Shah – Business Editor

Kenvue Stock Plummets 10% following RFK Jr.’s Autism Report Focus

September 5, 2025 – ⁤Kenvue shares fell approximately 10% today after Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. prioritized investigating a potential link between acetaminophen ⁢use during pregnancy and autism ‌spectrum⁢ disorder. Kennedy has pledged that HHS will “no what has caused⁤ the autism epidemic” by September and eliminate exposures, launching what he described⁣ as a “massive testing ‌and research effort” involving ⁤hundreds of scientists globally.

The focus on acetaminophen, the generic name for Tylenol, has reignited concerns ⁤despite existing scientific consensus. Kenvue stated it⁤ has “continuously evaluated the ‌science‍ and [continues] ‌to believe there is no causal link” between ⁤acetaminophen use during pregnancy⁣ and autism. The company⁤ emphasized that the Food and Drug⁢ Governance (FDA) and leading‍ medical organizations “agree on the safety”⁢ of the drug, its use during pregnancy, ⁢and the facts provided⁢ on the Tylenol label.

The FDA⁤ website states the agency has not found “clear evidence”⁣ that appropriate acetaminophen use during pregnancy causes “adverse pregnancy, birth, neurobehavioral,or developmental outcomes,” ⁢while advising pregnant women⁢ to consult⁤ their health-care providers before using over-the-counter drugs. The ⁣American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists also‍ maintains that ⁤acetaminophen is safe during pregnancy when taken as directed and after consulting a health-care provider.

Previous studies ⁤have yielded mixed results, with some suggesting potential risks to fetal advancement. Lawsuits alleging a ‍connection between Tylenol use and autism have been filed by some parents, but a federal judge in Manhattan ruled in december ⁣2023 that some of these ‍lawsuits‌ lacked scientific evidence, ultimately ending the litigation in 2024. Other research has found no association between ⁣acetaminophen use and autism.BNP Paribas analyst Navann Ty noted in a Friday report that proving causation “is high, especially given that the litigation previously concluded in KenvueS ‌favor.”

Kennedy has also taken steps to change vaccine policy‍ in the U.S. and has amplified false ‍claims about safe and effective shots that‌ use mRNA ⁤technology, according to reporting from ⁢CNBC.

Kennedy’s CDC Shakeup: Pediatricians Step Up as Experts Neutralized

by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor September 6, 2025

NJ Gubernatorial Candidate’s Vaccine Stance Raises Pediatrician Concerns

TRENTON, NJ – A New jersey pediatrician is‌ sounding ⁣the alarm over gubernatorial ‍candidate Jack Ciattarelli‘s⁤ proposals regarding vaccination schedules and parental rights, warning they could ‌endanger the health of children across the state. ‍Dr. Jennifer H.Chuang,⁢ a⁤ board-certified pediatrician, internal medicine, and adolescent medicine ⁣physician, argues Ciattarelli’s‌ stance undermines established ⁣medical recommendations and fuels vaccine misinformation.

Ciattarelli’s campaign website outlines ⁤plans too ⁢”oppose a one-size-fits-all vaccination schedule,” support medical⁣ and religious exemptions, and ‌establish a “parental rights ombudsman” to advocate for those seeking philosophical exemptions.

“As a pediatrician and as a⁢ parent, this is outrageous,” Dr. Chuang wrote in an opinion piece. “These statements counter recommendations from⁣ pediatric‌ groups, the very same healthcare ‌practitioners whose main goal ⁤is to see their young⁣ patients grow up ⁤to be healthy adults. ciattarelli’s statements on⁢ his‍ campaign⁣ site are ⁤dangerous and ⁢misguided. They sow into the ⁢spread of misinformation that is destroying our public health system. It would be damaging to children’s health⁤ if Ciattarelli were to implement these ⁤policies as Governor.”

The⁤ concerns come amid a broader national trend of declining confidence in vaccines, exacerbated by figures ⁢like former President⁤ Donald ⁣Trump and robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom Dr. Chuang accuses of “taking a sledgehammer to public⁤ health.”

dr. Chuang emphasizes the importance of‍ adhering to recommended vaccination schedules,‌ stating they are based on rigorous scientific research and are designed to ⁣protect children from preventable diseases. She warns that weakening these standards could lead to outbreaks and‍ jeopardize public health.

“Do not let Jack Ciattarelli do the ‍same to our New Jersey children’s health,”⁤ she concludes.

(Thomas P. Costello / ‍Asbury Park Press) – New Jersey Republican ⁢primary winner Jack Ciattarelli ‍speaks to supporters‍ gathered at Bell‌ works‌ in Holmdel ‌Tuesday night, June 10, 2025.

COVID-19 Surge in Ohio Sparks Vaccine Debate Amid CDC Turmoil

by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor September 5, 2025

COVID Cases rise ⁤in Ohio as Florida Moves to Ban Vaccine Mandates, ‌CDC Faces Scrutiny

COLUMBUS, OH – September 4, 2025 – As COVID-19 cases begin to⁢ rise in Ohio,‌ Florida’s recent announcement to ban vaccine ‌mandates is drawing sharp criticism from medical professionals ‍and sparking debate among candidates vying for the‍ state’s governorship. The move in Florida, spearheaded by Surgeon General Joseph A. Ladapo⁤ who stated that “every one of them drips with disdain and slavery” regarding vaccine mandates, has prompted concern over potential‍ public health⁢ repercussions.

Ohio currently⁤ allows for ‌religious and philosophical exemptions⁤ to vaccines, but vaccination rates among kindergarteners are at a five-year low, according to⁢ state‌ officials.A recent‍ report indicates the rate of vaccinated ⁤kindergarteners in the Buckeye State is declining.

Ohio Governor Mike ⁣DeWine’s office has stated he has “no immediate comment” on Florida’s decision. Though, Ohio Department of Health director Dr.Bruce Vanderhoff has consistently voiced support for vaccines and their effectiveness in previous public appearances.

The‌ American Medical Association has condemned Florida’s decision, asserting it “would undermine decades ⁢of public health progress and place children and communities at ⁣increased risk… resulting in‍ serious illness, disability, and even death.”⁢ Columbus Public Health commissioner‍ Dr. Mysheika Roberts⁣ echoed this sentiment, stating she is “disappointed that political points are overriding established science at the expense of the health and ⁢safety‍ of children.” Roberts was recently one of ⁤17 CDC vaccine panelists ousted in June.

Candidates for Ohio’s 2026 gubernatorial race have ⁣offered differing perspectives. Dr. Amy acton, the leading ⁤Democratic candidate and former state health department director, called ‍Florida’s decision “reckless” and “shameful behavior,” emphasizing that vaccines “keep our children, families and communities safe.”

Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign did not respond to requests for comment. Though, Ramaswamy previously stated in 2023 that he regretted receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and‌ alleged the U.S. government “lied” about the vaccines developed ⁤during ‍President Donald⁣ Trump’s first term.

Massachusetts COVID Booster: Healey Greenlights Shots for All Over 5

by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor September 4, 2025
written by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor

Massachusetts Governor Healey Authorizes Expanded COVID-19 booster Access Amidst Federal Concerns

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey ‍has issued a ⁣standing ⁢order ⁣to ensure continued access to updated COVID-19 boosters ‍for all residents ⁢aged 5 ⁢and ⁢older, bypassing a standard requirement for‌ state pharmacy board⁢ approval. This move comes amid growing concerns regarding the direction ⁢of federal vaccine‌ policy under U.S. ‌Health and ⁣Human Services ‍Secretary Robert F. Kennedy ‌Jr.

“Wiht Robert Kennedy⁤ and the federal government, we⁣ are going to make sure vaccines remain available in Massachusetts,” Healey stated in ⁤a prepared release. “We are working ‍to ensure ‍that all pharmacies make the vaccine available quickly.”

Currently, Massachusetts law typically requires sign-off from the Board of‌ Registration ⁣in Pharmacy before⁣ vaccines can be administered by pharmacies. Healey’s order circumvents this process, prompting CVS to await direction ⁣from the‍ board before‌ implementing the expanded ‌access.

The boosters to be distributed include Moderna’s⁢ mnexspike and spikevax, Pfizer’s‌ comirnaty, and Novovax’s nuvaxovid.

Healey’s action⁤ is ‌directly linked‌ to concerns about Kennedy’s past statements ‍expressing ⁢mistrust of vaccines, especially mRNA vaccines credited by public health experts with saving millions of lives during‌ the COVID-19 pandemic.⁢ Since his appointment, Kennedy reportedly blocked $500 million in funding for ⁢mRNA‌ vaccine development and replaced members of the Centers for Disease⁤ Control and ‌Prevention’s vaccine advisory ‍panel with⁢ individuals sharing his anti-vaccine views, according⁤ to some health observers.Under Kennedy’s ⁤leadership, the CDC recently altered its⁢ COVID-19 vaccine recommendations, limiting eligibility⁢ to individuals 65 and older‍ and those with ‌underlying medical conditions – a ⁤change from⁤ the previous recommendation of vaccination ‍for anyone over 6 months of age. Many health experts have voiced concerns that this ⁢revised⁢ guidance poses a significant risk to public health.

In response to these federal changes, Healey is also exploring a regional collaboration with Connecticut, Maine, Rhode⁢ Island, and New York ⁣to‌ establish a ‍system ⁢of self-reliant vaccine guidance.”Massachusetts has the best health care in the⁣ world. We won’t let Donald⁢ Trump ⁤and ⁢Robert kennedy⁤ get in ‌between patients and their doctors and prevent people from getting⁣ the vaccines they want and need,” Healey declared.⁣ “We are ⁤taking action ⁤to ensure vaccines remain available here in Massachusetts⁤ while also working with‍ other East Coast states to be able ⁣to ‍step in to⁣ preserve access to vaccines any time⁢ the CDC fails to ‌do its job to protect public health.”

The U.S. Health and Human‌ services⁢ did not immediately respond to‍ a request for comment⁣ regarding⁢ healey’s decision.

The Covid revenge policy

by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor September 1, 2025

White House‍ strategy Shifts as Trump Downplays Covid Vaccine ‍Success, Global Health Experts Warn of Repercussions

WASHINGTON – A concerning shift in rhetoric surrounding Covid-19 vaccines is emerging from former President Trump,⁢ even as ⁢global health officials warn‌ that diminished U.S. ‌investment and promotion of the vaccines could have⁢ far-reaching consequences. The ‌evolving situation raises questions about a potential “Covid revenge policy,” driven by political ⁣factors⁣ and potentially jeopardizing ⁢public health initiatives worldwide.

Sources indicate a deliberate downplaying of the mRNA vaccine’s‍ success, despite ‌its pivotal role in mitigating ⁤the pandemic’s impact‌ in 2020. This⁢ comes as President Trump publicly⁤ embraces messaging ‍that distances him from the vaccine effort, exemplified by his recent appearances wearing ‍a hat proclaiming ‍”Trump was right about everything.”

“It ⁤feels like we’re the outliers right now,” one⁣ expert noted, observing a divergence from the United ‌States’ conventional leadership role in global vaccine policy. historically, other nations ⁣have “traditionally taken cues” from the⁤ U.S.,notably regarding ⁣vaccines.‌ However, the current stance risks prompting other ⁢countries to reconsider their own vaccination programs,⁣ potentially leading ‌to decreased uptake.

The ⁢shift coincides with‍ a reduction in U.S. resources allocated ⁤to vaccine development and distribution, a move that experts fear ⁣will exacerbate ⁢vaccine scarcity and potentially compromise quality. “In a landscape where thes ⁤vaccines get more scarce and ‌more expensive ⁢because the US ‍isn’t pouring‌ resources into developing them, those vaccines simply won’t exist or might be worse than ⁤if the US⁢ were pouring those resources in,”‌ a source explained. The simultaneous criticism ⁢of existing vaccines creates a‌ complex dilemma for other nations, potentially leading them to “pause a little bit more” in their vaccination efforts.

Analysts suggest the change in⁤ tone stems from ⁤dissatisfaction ⁣within Trump’s base regarding the handling⁤ of the pandemic during his final term. Despite his governance’s role in accelerating vaccine development, the‌ overall‍ response to‌ the pandemic was widely criticized, and⁢ many supporters felt ”betrayed ⁤by the goverment”⁢ due to “early pandemic policies”‌ and a perceived lack ‍of coordinated public health dialog. This sentiment appears to have soured the base on all⁢ things Covid-related, including⁤ the vaccines themselves.

The situation presents a challenge for global health‍ organizations, who are now looking to countries ‍like‍ the UK as potential models for vaccine policy. The ⁣long-term implications of this shift remain‍ to be seen, but experts warn that a diminished U.S. commitment to⁢ vaccine development and promotion‍ could⁣ have significant repercussions for global health security.

CDC Return to Office Plan After Atlanta Shooting

by Priya Shah – Business Editor August 31, 2025
written by Priya Shah – Business Editor

CDC Announces Return to‌ Office Following Shooting,Amidst Ongoing Turmoil

The Centers‍ for disease Control and Prevention has informed staff that it expects a full return to in-office work by september 15th,approximately five weeks⁤ after a gunman attacked the ‍agency’s Atlanta headquarters. The announcement, made via email by newly appointed Chief Operating Officer Lynda Chapman on August 29th, prioritizes staff safety as the ⁢agency works to restore ‍its workplace.According to the email, wich was viewed by CNBC, all employees are expected back in the office by the specified date. For those whose workspaces ‌were impacted by the august 8th shooting – including damage sustained during the attack – the CDC will provide alternative spaces on its Roybal Campus.

Chapman stated ⁤the agency ⁤has made ⁢”notable progress” on ⁢repairs and that CDC leadership, alongside‍ a “Response ‌and Recovery management” team, is focused on addressing staff ⁤concerns and ensuring ‌a secure surroundings for‌ the transition.

Following the shooting, CDC staff were initially instructed to work remotely, with limited options for returning ⁢to the office in subsequent⁣ weeks.

The return-to-office directive arrives during a period of ⁣significant upheaval for the⁢ CDC. While the shooting did not result in injuries to CDC personnel, it deeply affected the workforce.‌ This incident occurred alongside broader changes initiated by Health and Human⁢ Services Secretary⁤ Robert F. kennedy Jr., including staff ‌reductions and‍ controversy surrounding proposed alterations to CDC immunization‍ policies and the agency’s vaccine advisory panel.

Further compounding the situation, President Donald Trump recently terminated the ⁢employment of CDC ⁤Director Susan Monarez, and four other top officials resigned, with some citing concerns about the politicization of the agency and potential threats to public health.

Authorities identified the shooter as Patrick Joseph White. Over 500 shell⁤ casings and⁤ five firearms were recovered at the ⁣scene. During the attack, ‌CDC employees⁤ were‍ forced to barricade themselves within offices. White fatally shot responding police officer David Rose,33,before taking his own life. Investigators ⁤determined White had⁣ attributed his depression and suicidal thoughts to the Covid-19 vaccine.

Prior to her dismissal,‍ former Director Monarez, in an email to staff, directly linked the shooting to the dangers of misinformation, stating a commitment to restoring ⁣public trust through “science, evidence, and⁢ clarity of purpose.”
