Monroe Countyโ Restaurants See Mostly โขClean Inspections, Butโ Several Cited for Sanitation Issues
Recent inspections by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture โand the Eastโ stroudsburg โขborough revealed a mix of perfect scores and minor violations at Monroe County restaurants betweenโฃ September 8 and Septemberโ 14.
Several establishments received zeroโข violations, including โฃTriplets Family Restaurantโค (1947 W. Main st., stroudsburg), Cookie Plug (1000โ Premium Outlets Drive, Tannersville), Great โBear โฃGolf Club (1 โคGreat Bear Court, East โขStroudsburg), Snydersville Family Dinerโ (6238 Routeโ 209, โคStroudsburg), Sidelines (114 Columbia Drive, East Stroudsburg), โขKlingel’s Farm (415 โRoute โค115, Saylorsburg), and CVS (958 Route 390, Cresco).
Though,inspectionsโฃ also uncovered issues at other locations.โ An inspector noted old food โฃresidue on โคthe blade of a manual can opener, dusty fan guards in a refrigerator, and a sanitizerโค rinse cycle with 0 ppm chlorineโ residual-below the required โ50-100 ppm-at an unnamed establishment.That same inspection also foundโ oldโ food debris in โenclosed and magnetic knife holders.
Follow-up inspections were โconducted at Snydersville Family โDiner,previously cited for four violations onโค September 3,and Pocono โBrewery Company,which had six violations on September 4. Both had achieved โคcompliance โas of theirโค follow-upโ inspections. โฃPioneerโ Diner (3397 Route 940, Mount Pocono) also passed aโ follow-up inspection after addressing three โviolations from September 4.
New establishments inspected included โCanteen at NFI Tobyhanna โ(2077 Corporate โCentre Drive โฃWest, tobyhanna), Nonna’s โgourmetโ Cateringโ (1289โ Routeโฃ 209, Gilbert), and Stoltzfus โProduce (mobile food facility), โคall โคof which โฃwereโข opening inspections.
Other inspections were carried out at Soho Mart/Sunoco (350 prospect โคSt., East Stroudsburg), โDunkin’ (350 Prospect St., East Stroudsburg), and โMountainhome โDinerโ (910 Route 390, cresco).
