Mexico City to Host Series of Free Concerts Throughout September 2025
Mexico City (CDMX) residents adn visitors will enjoy a vibrant September filled with free concerts across multiple boroughs, culminating in Independence Day celebrations headlined by major musical acts. The city’s Zócalo will be a central hub for performances, alongside events planned in Azcapotzalco, Magdalena Contreras, Miguel Hidalgo, and Xochimilco.
this year’s Independence Day celebrations mark a historic moment, as President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo will lead the festivities for the first time. Music will play a key role in the commemorations, with a diverse lineup of artists scheduled to perform throughout the month. Here’s a complete list of confirmed free concerts:
September 6: Residente will take the stage at 8:00 p.m. on the Zócalo iron, with supporting acts including Arianna Puello, Overthrim, Dioz girl, Sponda prania, Azuky, and Mena.
September 15: Banda El Limón will perform at 8:00 p.m.in the Zócalo, celebrating Independence Day with special guests Legacy of greatness and Alejandra Ávalos.
September 15: In Azcapotzalco, Grupo Petaca will perform at 8:00 p.m., bringing a lively atmosphere to the borough.
September 15: The Partners of the Rhythm will perform in the esplanade of the Magdalena Contreras Mayor’s Office.
September 15: Yahir and María León will perform at 11:00 p.m. on the esplanade of Mayor Miguel Hidalgo, alongside The New Sonora Dynamite with Heidy Infante.
September 15: Jorge Carmona will perform during the night of Mexican music and tradition in Xochimilco.
