Wolfsburg Captain Maximilian Arnold Clashes with DAZN Reporter Over Losing Streak
DORTMUND – VfL Wolfsburg captain Maximilian Arnold reacted with visible irritation to a reporter’s question following his team’s 0-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund on Sunday evening. The exchange, broadcast on DAZN, centered around Wolfsburg’s eight-game losing streak at Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park.
reporter Jan Wochner began by stating,”I know you won’t taste it,but I have to address them… as these statistics are strange.” He then informed Arnold of the team’s losing record in Dortmund.Arnold repeatedly interrupted, responding with “completely” and shaking his head.
“But she has to do so if you go there and lose every time,” Wochner attempted to continue.Arnold retorted, “I don’t drive here and think about losing, yes?”
Wochner pressed, stating, “But that’s a fact.” Arnold again interrupted, saying, “Nothing but nothing but nothing.” Wochner replied, “It happened.”
“Yes,of course,” Arnold conceded, before adding with disbelief,”I don’t drive here to lose.” He emphasized he doesn’t focus on past statistics, stating, ”Every game starts from zero and so we start.”
The interview concluded with Wochner thanking Arnold, who briefly shook his hand before departing.
Following four match days, VfL Wolfsburg currently holds a position in the table with five points.
