SC Fortuna Köln reacted to the departure of Lars Loktosch and signed a new centre-forward.

A few days ago it was announced that the third division club SC Verl would be joining forces with Lars Lokotsch, the 13-goal striker at SC Fortune Cologne strengthened.

The regional league team from the cathedral city has now reacted and signed a Lokotsch successor. Marvin Mika is moving from league rivals SV Lippstadt 08 to the southern part of Cologne. So far this season, the 22-year-old striker has scored seven goals and two assists in a total of 25 appearances.

The player and his advisor Manfred Batz confirmed this RevierSport. “Marvin has a great sense of space and is characterized by a special acceleration, is considered to be technically gifted, is good in one-on-ones and has excellent shooting technique. He is a guy who works a lot on his own. He is to say that the road to Cologne’s Fortuna is a love affair, although he alone had offers from five western regional lists and from the regional leagues north, south-west and north-east,” reveals Batz.

Mika, who has a contract with Fortuna until the summer of 2025, is looking forward to the new challenge. He says: “I’m looking forward to a great team, great fans and that we can play football successfully in the southern part of the city. I will bring my high level of commitment, my unconditional will to win and bring as many goals as possible to the team.”

For the native Rheda-Wiedenbrücker, Fortuna Cologne is only his second senior station after SV Lippstadt. Before that he went through the junior teams of Rot Weiss Ahlen, Arminia Bielefeld and Preußen Münster.

“Prussian Pro Kok prioritizes purpose over profit!”

Thomas Kok (24) has long since become a fixture at regional league leader Münster, delivering convincing performances week after week in the back three. As a straightforward, no-frills defensive player with a healthy offensive urge. Also in the next season?

Prussian professional Kok honestly: “Money was never the most important thing for me!”

The fact is: the likeable Dutchman is one of the few guys in coach Sascha Hildmann’s (50) successful team whose contracts expire in the summer and do not contain a promotion clause. As of now, Kok would be without a club from June 30th…

“Mobile phone at the wheel is an own goal” What could threaten Haaland now

But it probably won’t come to that. On the one hand, he has definitely made himself interesting for several clubs with his strong performances. On the other hand, the Prussians should also be very interested in an extension. Sports director Peter Niemeyer (39) has already had the first talks about the future with him. However, the result is still open.

Kok is not primarily concerned with the coal. “Money was never the most important thing for me. I want to feel comfortable, preferably always playing,” says the clever lad, who is almost fluent in several languages (in addition to Dutch, German, English, French and Norwegian).

For this reason alone, the eagle bearers should have good chances. Kok relaxed: “Let’s wait and see the further negotiations. Of course, our ideas have to match. Both sides should be happy in the end.”

Since Thomas Kok was ordered back from defensive midfield to the back three by Prussian coach Sascha Hildmann, the Dutchman has become an absolute regular and top performer

Even if the native of Tilburg would like to have the decision promptly, his full concentration is currently on the long-awaited return to the third division. After the last eleven wins in a row and a whopping lead over pursuers Gladbach II, the Prussians are only a few steps away.

Kok, who came to Hammer Straße from Norway’s first division club FK Jerv in winter 2022, has not regretted the move: “It’s just great fun to be on the pitch with this team. On Saturday against Kaan-Marienborn we definitely want to do better and get a little closer to our big goal.”

In any case, his personal timetable is set: first the promotion, then the signing of the contract. In Prussia – or wherever…
