Minister Commends 36 Regions forโข Advancing Regional Healthcare
Seoul,South Korea โ – The Ministry of Health today recognized 36 local governments and individuals forโ outstanding contributions to regional โฃhealthcare planning and implementation,awardingโ citations across three categories: excellence in local government โคinitiatives,notableโ year-over-yearโ improvements in power generation,and collaborative efforts in healthcare development.The awardsโ underscoreโ a national push to โคimprove โhealthcare โฃaccessibility and quality tailoredโฃ to specific โคregional needs.
This year’s awardsโค notably โคintroduced a new “development” category to specifically acknowledge those instrumental in establishing thorough regional healthcare โplans – aโ four-year cycle mandated by โฃthe Regional Health Act to address localized health demands and resource allocation.โ These plans, encompassingโฃ analyses of regional health status and strategies โfor โresource management, โฃare seen as crucial for bolstering public health infrastructureโ nationwide.
Amongโฃ the regions honored for โคexcellence were Busan Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangnam-do, alongside 30 additional โcities and counties. The “development” โcategory recognized the Chungcheongbuk-do Office, Gwangju Metropolitanโ City, Nam-gu Public Health Center, Jeollanam-do Sinan-gun Public Healthโค Center, โคandโ Chungcheongbuk-do Chungju-si health Center.Four individuals from Busan โGangseo-gu andโค yeonje-gu Public Health Centers, โand โalso the Gyeongnamโ Public Health Support Team (recommended by Busan Metropolitan City andโ Gyeongsangnam-do), received awards in the “cooperation” category.
The citations โwere weighted as โfollows: โ32 points forโฃ outstanding local governments, 32 points for excellent local governments, 4 points for power โgeneration improvements, โand โฃ4 points for cooperative division contributions.
