Married at First Sight Australia’s Brook Crompton is pregnant and engaged, but not to the man she “married” on the reality television program. Crompton, 27, confirmed she is expecting a child with her former boyfriend, Harry, 28, after reconnecting following her experience on the show, according to multiple reports.
The revelation comes after Crompton’s split from Chris Nield, her on-screen husband, who she described as being motivated by “TV ratings.” “I guess it made me realise how amazing Harry is. He’s nothing like that person I married on MAFS,” Crompton said. “He’d never fat-shame a woman or speak about anyone badly. He sees the beauty in everyone. I’ve actually never been with someone that speaks about women that poorly.”
Crompton said she immediately knew Nield was not a suitable partner. “So right from the get-go, I was like, ‘This person is not for me.’” She discovered she was pregnant after experiencing a vivid dream that prompted her to take a pregnancy test.
The couple became engaged just over a month later during a Christmas holiday in Aspen. “This represents everything I’ve ever wanted to be with a partner who supports me and loves me,” Crompton stated.
