Brann Manager Vows Aggressiveโค approachโฃ Against Rangers,Warnsโฃ of Gers‘ Attacking threat
BERGEN,Norway โข- โBrann manager neale Alexandersson hasโ declared his team will launch an all-out attackโ when they face Rangersโ atโ the Brann Stadium on Thursday night, but cautioned against over-committing and leaving themselvesโ vulnerable to the Scottish side’s offensive power. The Europa League โคgroupโค stage clashโ sees Brann aiming โขto build on a victory โover FC Utrecht โคand a narrow โdefeat โto Lille.
“We’reโ going to go at them offensively but we โขhave to be careful,” โAlexandersson stated. “I thinkโค Rangers are โat their best, playing offensively.โฃ So we can’t โขopen ourselves up to much. But we’re at the Brann stadium so โwe have to attack.”
Brann will be without keyโข attacking duo Saever Atli โขMagnusson, who has six goals in seven European games this season, and Niklas Castro through injury. Theโค teamโ is also monitoring theโ fitness of midfielder Felix Horn Myhre, currently competing with Rangers’ Theloโข Aasgaard for a spot in โขthe Norwegian nationalโข team.โข Alexandersson anticipates โขMyhre will beโ available for a place on the bench,โ but is โขnot fit โenough to start.
“After training on Wednesday, I’m not optimistic for โฃFelix so โhe will notโฃ start,” Alexandersson said. “But maybe โhe can play some part in the match fromโข theโฃ bench.”
Theโข matchโ comes as new Rangers manager Danny Rohl preparesโข for โhis first European fixture in charge, a factor Alexandersson acknowledgesโ could impact the game.
