“Nothing special,” is how weatherman David Dehenauw describes the weather phenomenon that is causing temperatures of up to 25 degrees today. That cold front will not take long to arrive. It will remain fairly warm until Monday with temperatures between 18 and 19 degrees, but on Tuesday the temperature will drop to 13 degrees again. Sun worshipers will therefore have to be patient: “Today is an outlier. We have not yet left for a stable spring period with a week of sunshine. It goes up and down. At the end of next week and into next week we expect temperatures of 17 or 18 degrees again.”
The warm air from the Sahara may also bring sand with it. “During the day this may make the sun shine less brightly, but clouds will rise anyway. This is not only due to the Sahara sand. If it rains, the sand can leave dirty streaks and dots on the car when it is parked outside.”
But that it is hot one day and not the other days? “No special phenomenon. The temperature itself, on the other hand, is exceptional: there is a chance that a heat record will be broken. That’s where the news value lies,” said the weatherman.

Traffic
