New Jabodetabek โKRL Station, Jatake, Targeted for Decemberโข Launch
Jakarta, โDecemberโ 5, โ2025 -โ Indonesia’s minister of โขTransportation, Dudy Purwagandhi, announced Friday that โthe โฃnewly constructed โJatake Station on the โขJabodetabek KRL โline โขis on track to โขbegin operations this December. The station, located between Cicayur Station and Parung Panjang Station, represents a key component of the region’s Transit Orientedโ Progressโค (TOD) initiativeโ aimed at easing highway congestion.
Construction of the 3,000 m2, three-story station โค- built on a 2,435 m2 plot at KM 37+045 of the โTanah Abang – Rangkasbitung route – is complete andโข currentlyโ undergoing testing. “The construction of theโ station โขhas been completed.โ we are currently carryingโค out โฃthe station testingโฃ process.โ Weโ hope that this December we can โoperate Jatake Station. โฃHopefully there will be no changes,” Minister Dudy stated.
While a specific date has not yet been revealed, the Ministry is working with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) to finalize operational readiness, including required โขpermits and trial runs. KAI vice โคPresident of Public Relations, Anne โขPurba, confirmed the need forโ these โขtrials and โapprovals before public โขaccess is granted. “If you operate a station, โขthere must be a trial first, โคthere will โฃbe permits. Later, if everything hasโ been โcompleted, including the โoperational engineering, we will also continue โto update it with DJKA,” Anneโข explained on September 17, 2025.
Jatake Station is โฃprojected to accommodate 20,000โฃ passengers daily and will feature passenger facilities, a commercial zone, KAI office space, and parking for cars, motorcycles, โฃand bicycles. The addition โฃofโ Jatake Station expandsโฃ the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung KRL route to โserve Tanah Abang, โPalmerah, Kebayoran, Pondok Ranji, โJurang Mangu, Sudimara, Rawa Buntu, Serpong, Cisauk, Cicayur, Parung Panjang, Cilejit, Daru, Tenjo, Tigaraksa, โcikoya, Maja, Citeras and Rangkasbitung.
