A three-year-oldโ boy died inโ the foyer of a Queensland police station Saturday โขmorning after a vehicle crash southโ of โคBrisbane.
Emergency โservices responded toโ a crash on Burnside Road, Ormeau, just before 5:00 a.m. Accordingโข to police, a witness assisted a 22-year-old woman and the three-year-old boy from the vehicle and transported them to the Beenleigh โPolice Station.โ
The child becameโ unresponsiveโค shortly afterโ arriving atโ the station. Officers promptlyโค began CPR, but the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 24-year-old Beenleigh man,โ also believed to โhave been in theโข vehicle, left theโข scene with a one-year-old boy before โpolice arrived. They were locatedโข at a โbeenleigh address around 6:30 a.m. The one-year-old was transported to Logan Hospital in โstable condition.
Police have established multiple crimeโค scenes and investigations are ongoing. The 24-year-old manโค is assisting policeโฃ with their inquiries.
Authorities state thereโข is no current threat to the community, and โฃthe Beenleighโค Policeโ Station has reopened.
