Mexico City – Argentine actor and singer Fede Dorcaz has been killed in Mexico City, Mexican authorities confirmed Friday. He was 38 years old. the circumstances surrounding his death are currently under investigation.
Dorcaz was in Mexico participating in the Televisa reality show Hoy, where he was partnered wiht artist Mariana Ávila. His death leaves a “great void” in the programme, according to an official statement posted to the show’s account. Ávila mourned the loss on her X account, writing, “You will always be my favorite person in the whole world, I love you, I love you, I love you and I will always love you.”
The tragedy comes less than a month after the disappearance and homicide of Colombian musicians Bayron Sánchez Salazar (B King) and Jorge Luis Herrera Lemos (Regio Clown), whose bodies were found in Cocotitlán, State of Mexico. Their deaths highlighted growing concerns about violence against performers in the region.
Hoy dedicated a segment to Dorcaz on Friday, showcasing images of his rehearsals with Ávila.Authorities have not released details regarding the investigation into Dorcaz’s death, and further updates are expected as the case develops.
