PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBRI) is set to announce its full-year 2025 financial performance on Thursday, February 26, 2026, with analysts projecting a 6.49% year-on-year decline in net profit to Rp56.25 trillion, according to a Bloomberg consensus.

The projected net profit represents a decrease from the Rp60.15 trillion reported in 2024. Despite the anticipated decline in overall profitability, Bank Rakyat Indonesia’s net interest income (NII) is forecast to increase by 3.63% year-on-year, reaching Rp147.21 trillion, up from Rp142.05 trillion in the previous year.

Credit disbursement is expected to continue its upward trajectory, with total loans projected to reach Rp1.472.23 trillion in 2025, an 8.68% increase compared to the Rp1.354.64 trillion recorded in 2024. This growth is partially driven by the bank’s focus on micro-loans, particularly through its Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) program.

Bank Rakyat Indonesia reported disbursing Rp178.08 trillion in KUR loans to 3.8 million debtors by the end of December 2025. Akhmad Purwakajaya, Director of Micro BRI, stated that these loans are primarily directed towards businesses that promote employment and strengthen food security. “BRI continues to strive to encourage the growth of the MSME sector to remain healthy and sustainable as the backbone of the national economy,” Purwakajaya said in a statement on February 1, 2026.

The majority of KUR funds, 64.49%, were allocated to the production sector, encompassing agriculture, fisheries, processing industries, and other services.

Third-party funds (DPK) at Bank Rakyat Indonesia are estimated to grow by 9.44% year-on-year in 2025, reaching Rp1.494.3 trillion. However, the bank’s return on equity (ROE) is projected to decrease to 17.63% from 19.14% in 2024. The net interest margin (NIM) is expected to remain relatively stable at 7.72% compared to 7.74% in the previous year.

Asset quality is likewise expected to experience a slight deterioration, with non-performing loans (NPLs) projected to increase by 10.01% year-on-year to Rp41.47 trillion.

In January 2026, Bank Rakyat Indonesia distributed an interim dividend of Rp137 per share, totaling Rp20.63 trillion, to shareholders as of January 2, 2026, based on its financial performance as of September 30, 2025. The stock closed at Rp3,500 on October 17, 2025, representing a yield of approximately 3.9% on the interim dividend.
