Deputy Chairman of PSSI Zainudin Amali said Yunus Nusi will remain the secretary general (sekjen) of the federation even though the management has changed.

Yunus became Secretary General of PSSI in 2020 after Ratu Tisha Destria was asked to step down. At that time Yunus was a member of the Executive Committee (Exco) and was forced to resign for the sake of this professional assignment.

The former chairman of the East Kalimantan Provincial Association (Asprov) also ran for vice chairman of PSSI in the 2023 PSSI Extraordinary Congress. He was elected and then resigned.

Because he held a professional position, Yunus did not step aside like Mochamad Iriawan. Yunus currently remains the Secretary General of PSSI until Erick Thohir decides to replace him.

Because Erick has not asked for a replacement Secretary General, Yunus remains at PSSI. Amali also emphasized that Yunus would not be replaced. Yunus is considered competent to fill this crucial position.

“This [sambil menunjuk Yunus Nusi yang berada di sampingnya]. Ask him, how come I still call him Secretary General? Permanent Secretary General. No [diganti]. This is still the Secretary General,” said Amali.

The man who also serves as Menpora said he would meet President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Monday (20/2). Amali will report about the PSSI KLB.

The instructions from Indonesia’s number one person will be a guide for Amali in carrying out his duties at PSSI as well as Kemenpora. Whatever Jokowi’s policy, Amali will obey.

“Monday [20/2] I will be accepted Mr. President. Mr. President will accept me and Mr. Erick. I’ll report, I’ve been selected. Whatever the president’s decision is, I will carry it out,” he said.

Extraordinary Congress (KLB) PSSI is over. The following is a list of PSSI management under Erick Thohir.

Erick Thohir was elected as Chairman of PSSI after defeating three of his competitors, namely La Nyalla Mattalitti, Arief Putra Wicaksono, and Doni Setiabudi. Erick Thohir got 64 votes, fulfilling the requirement of 50 percent plus one of the number of voters, so he was elected as PSSI chairman in just one round.

The position of the two Deputy Chairpersons became the most attention-grabbing thing at the PSSI KLB yesterday. Initially, Zainudin Amali and Yunus Nusi were announced as the two names occupying the top two positions.

But soon the situation heated up because many voters felt their voices were missing. After the situation heated up, the decision was made that a re-election be held.

In the second election, Ratu Tisha and Yunus Nusi became the top two names. Zainudin Amali is only in third position.

Shortly after the announcement, Yunus Nusi decided to resign. As a result, Zainudin Amali was promoted to Deputy Chairperson alongside Ratu Tisha.

Meanwhile, the election for Exco took place in two rounds. In the first round, Eko Setiawan, Endri Erawan, Juni Rahman, Muhammad, Rudi Yulianto, Sumardji and Vivin Cahyani were selected. Whereas in the second round, the next names chosen were Ahmad Riyadh, Arya Sinulingga, Hasnuryadi, Peter Tanuri, and Khaerul Anwar.

The PSSI Secretary General (Secretary General) position will be announced later. The Secretary General of PSSI is directly appointed by the Chairman of PSSI.

The PSSI Election Committee officially closes the registration process for Executive Committee (Exco) candidates PSSI as of Monday (16/1). A total of five candidates Head of PSSI who entered the list.

From the results obtained by the PSSI Selection Committee for the 2023-2027 period, there are five candidates for general chairman, 17 deputy chairmen positions, and 78 Exco members.

Later the names of these candidates will be verified. After that it will be determined who is declared not eligible. They can then appeal to the Election Appeals Committee.

There are five names as candidates for the PSSI chairmanship: La Nyalla Mattalitti, Erick Thohir, Doni Setiabudi, Fary Djemy Francis, and Arief Putra.

Meanwhile, the prospective candidates for the PSSI Deputy Headum are old names such as Yunus Nusi, Ahmad Riyadh, Hasani Abdulgani, and Iwan Budianto. Besides that, there are the names of Queen Tisha, Azrul Ananda, to Sadikin Aksa.

Interestingly, the name Menpora Zainudin Amali is on the list of potential candidates for Deputy Chairman of PSSI.

PSSI Election Committee Chairman Amir Burhanudin said this was a provisional list or potential candidates. There is still a verification process. After being verified, the permanent candidate will be determined.

“From the data that has come to us, it’s still raw data. We haven’t opened the files one by one. From the data we have received, both from the support, there are five candidates for chairman, all male,” Amir said at a press conference.

The PSSI Selection Committee will announce the candidates who pass the verification on January 31.
