Jakarta – Gold prices continued their upward trajectory Tuesday, with PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) gold reaching Rp 3,068,000 per gram, a rise of Rp 40,000, according to the state-owned enterprise’s official website.
The price increase, reported at 08:44 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), extends a strengthening trend observed since the weekend. A 0.5-gram piece of Antam gold is currently priced at Rp 1,584,000, while 10 grams costs Rp 30,175,000. The largest denomination, a 1,000-gram (1 kg) bar, is selling for Rp 3,008,600,000.
Over the past week, Antam gold prices have fluctuated between Rp 2,878,000 and Rp 3,068,000 per gram. Looking at the last month, the price range has been wider, spanning from Rp 2,844,000 to Rp 3,168,000 per gram.
Antam’s buyback price also increased by Rp 41,000 to Rp 2,854,000 per gram. The buyback price reflects the amount Antam will pay individuals selling their gold back to the company.
Transactions exceeding Rp 10,000,000 are subject to a 1.5% income tax (PPh Pasal 22) under Finance Minister Regulation (PMK) Number 81 of 2024, which will be deducted directly from the total buyback value.
