Port-Louis Residents rally for Cancer league with Races and Garage Sales
port-Louis, โขMorbihan – A community-wide effort in Port-Louis raised funds for the League Against Cancer this weekend, โคcombining a spirited โค”coffee race” with a bustling town-wideโ garage sale. Organizers aimed to surpass last year’s โฃtotal of โฌ1,200,drawing participation from local teams and residents eager to contribute to the cause.
The annual “Course des Garรงons de Cafรฉ” (Coffee Boys Race) saw twelve teams of four โcompete while carrying โtrays with full glasses of coffee, navigating the town streets in a relay. Each team contributed a โฌ10 โentry fee,and โattendeesโ supported the fundraiser by purchasing raffle tickets for โฌ1 each andโฃ refreshments.Simultaneously, approximately โsixty Port-Louis โhouseholds opened their doors for a large-scale garage sale, transforming the townโ into a treasureโค hunt for bargain seekers.
Local residents Claudine and jean-Pierre, of Rue de la Citadelle,โ were amongโฃ thoseโค participating in the garage sale, welcoming visitors throughout the day.
