The automaker’s departure follows a notable decline in its share price, attributed in โpart to U.S. tariffs impactingโ the European auto industry.
Porsche will be replacedโค by online listings โcompany Scout24 in โthe DAX reshuffle, and is expectedโข to transition to the midcapโ MDAX index later this month, as โคpersistent by a unit of Deutsche Boerse.
The manufacturer of vehicles like โthe 911 and luxury SUVs โขhas experienced โขa challenging period, marked by repeated downward โขrevisions to its financial outlook.The company โขhas cited the impact of U.S.President Donald Trump’s tariffsโ on European autos, alongside weak demand โขin China and a slower-than-anticipated shift to electricโ mobility, as contributing factors. โฃ
Porsche โshares have fallen moreโ than a third in the last 12 months. The company originally joined the DAX three years ago, following โฃits initial public offering in September 2022.
“We aim to return to the โฃDAX ‘as soon as possible,'” Porsche CEO Oliver Blume told โคgerman โnewspaper FAZ on Thursday, attributing the index relegation toโ technical โfactors.
