Milan, Italy – A rare evening โคof avant-garde artistry is setโข to unfold October 9th atโ the Milanese Refrigerators, a unique cultural โspace in the Carroponte district. The event will โfeature a live performance accompanying a screening of โRenรฉ Clair’s 1924 Dadaist film, Entr’acte, with original music by Erik Satie.
The performance offers a glimpse into a pivotal moment in artistic history, bridging the gap between music, cinema, and the burgeoning โSurrealist movement. attendees will experience Satie’s provocative score brought to life alongside clair’s deliberately chaotic and groundbreaking film, notorious forโ its scandalousโค premiere featuring lights directed at the audienceโฃ andโ projected insults. Pianistsโฃ Alessandro Comellato, Edoardo Fadda, Joy Soetto, and marco Autelli will alternate on stage, while Ivan Cenzi will provide historical and โฃartistic context.
The programme centers on Entr’acte,a film conceived as an โanti-narrative response to conventional cinema, and originally โขpresented with music by Satie. The composer, known for works like Parade (with a booklet โขby Francis Picabia), challenged artistic norms and embraced innovation.
The event is free with reservation, and further details can be found on the Milanese refrigerators’ officialโ Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/frigoriferimilanesi/posts/pfbid02pocaaLhoXXkYfPKHxoh3kQUrzQE3iZZ6sGRX6rPY5Hz4yPaTCgwgdPCUxe4B9LgYl.
