Shanghai–London Screenโข Industry Forum Bolsters UK-China Collaboration with Focus on โขGlobal Storytelling
SHANGHAIโฃ – The third annual Shanghai-London Screen Industry Forum โconcluded this week, โฃreaffirming its role as a โpivotal platform for strengthening creative ties between the United Kingdom and China. Hosted byโค the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism (Radio and Television),โ with support from the UK’s Department for โBusiness and Trade and institution by phoenix TV, the forum โspotlighted new avenues for collaboration in film andโฃ television production.
This year’s event featured keynote โคspeeches, presentations,โฃ trailer screenings, and panel discussions centered on the evolving landscape โof international co-production and the artโค of craftingโ globally โคresonant narratives. Attendees included Rupert Daniels, Director of Services at the UK’s Departmentโฃ for โคBusiness and Trade; Adrian Wootton OBE, CEO of โคFilm London &โ British Filmโฃ Commission; LI Liyan, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in the UK; YOUโฃ Haiyang, Level II Counsellor and Division Director at Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism; YIN Xin, Vice President of Shanghai Media Group; and Jasmine Pang, Director of European Affairs at Phoenix โขTV, who chaired the forum.
Industry leaders shared insights during keynote addresses, including Robi Stanton, EVP and General Manager, Anz & Asia at BBC Studios; Amanda Halliday, Director of Special Projectsโค at Pinewood Group; Jason ZHANG, Founder and Producer of Stellar Pictures; FU Wenjie,โข Executive Vice โขPresident ofโฃ Xixi Pictures; and Roy LU, General Manager of Linmon International. A fireside chat with acclaimed Chinese actor ZHANG Luyi provided a perspective on โcreative developmentโ and cross-cultural storytelling.
