Hollywood Duo โคTaylor Sheridan and Peter Berg to Adapt ‘Callโ of Duty’ into Feature Film
los Angeles – Filmmakersโค Taylorโ Sheridan and Peter Berg are teaming up to bring โthe โคblockbuster video game franchiseโ Call of Duty to the โbig โฃscreen.โ The project, backed by Paramount, aims to appeal to the โขgame’s massive global fanโ base whileโ attracting new audiences. Berg will direct and produce alongside his team, wiht โฃsheridan co-writing the scriptโค and โขalso producing with David Glasser.
Sheridan andโฃ Berg have a pre-existing collaborative relationship, having previously worked together โon critically acclaimedโฃ filmsโข Hell or Highโฃ Water, which earned โfour Oscar nominations includingโ Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay for Sheridan, โand Wind River.
Deadline reported Paramount had been consideringโค the pairโข for the adaptation as the summer, withโ Sheridan initially weighing whether to write or solely produce. He ultimately decided to take on bothโ roles.
Both filmmakers bring relevant โexperience to the project. Berg is โฃknown for his military-focused work, โคincludingโข Lone Survivor, while Sheridan’s paramount+ series Lioness has demonstrated his ability to deliver compellingโ stories within the genre.

Berg’s series credits include Painkiller โขand American Primeval. He recently wrapped โproductionโฃ on The Mosquito Bowl, a โWorld War II drama for โNetflix, and is executive producingโ a fridayโ Night โฃLights reboot. โค
Sheridan recently signedโ a five-year deal with NBCUniversal, which will โsee him depart Paramount in 2019. He isโ the creator of the hit โขParamount series Yellowstone, andโ also Mayor of Kingstown, tulsa King, 1883,โฃ 1923, Lioness,โ and Landman,โฃ with the secondโ season of Landman premiering nextโข month.โค He also has theโค original thriller โฃ F.A.S.T., starring Brandon Sklenar, slatedโ for release with Warner Bros in April 2027.
