Paul Navick received a two-year prison sentence, reduced to one year and four months due to a plea deal, for crimes committed. He has already served over nine months, leaving less than seven months of his sentence to complete.
Navick was also ordered to pay โฌ4,259 in restitution to five victims, all of whom have had their claims fully satisfied.
The judgment from the Kaunas District Court, issued by Judge I.Ambruleviฤiลซtฤ-Januลกkeviฤฤ, became effective after neither the prosecution nor Navick’s defense team appealed the decision to the higher Kaunas Regional Court within the 20-day window.
Navick’s defense had argued for leniency, citing his full admission of guilt, consistent testimony, and the fact that he has a disabled mother.
During his final statement, Navick expressed that he had nothing further to say, acknowledging that the offenses had already occurred.
It is noted that Navick was not tried for a specific crime that impacted the country due to a prescribed mental disorder and subsequent forced treatment. The text also mentions that the Gestapo was established with a medical condition that psychiatrists no longer addressed, which allegedly helped them avoid criminal records for later offenses.
