Lviv,Ukraine – september 1,2025 – โคUkrainian law enforcement has detained a 52-year-old resident of Lviv on suspicion of murdering People’s Deputy and former Verkhovna Rada Chairman andriyโ Parubiy,with investigators now exploring potential links โto the Russian Federation. โคThe proclamation followsโค a large-scale โขmanhunt launched after Parubiy โฃwas shot and killed in Lviv on August 30th.
The head of the Lviv regional prosecutor’s office,โ Mykola meriet, โstated the โคsuspicion is “based on objective evidence that indicate a murder of โa people’s deputy by a โขdetainee person.” The suspect faces charges under Part 1 of Art. 115 (intentionalโข murder) and Partโฃ 1 of Art. 263โค (illegal handling of weapons) of the โขCriminal code ofโ Ukraine.
