Fresno‘s Marketplace at El Paseo Welcomes Paris Baguette, Signaling Continued Growth
Fresno residents now have a new spot for sweet treats and relaxation as Paris Baguette officially opened its doors Thursday morning at the Marketplace at El Paseo shopping centre. the bakery’s arrival marks the latest addition to the rapidly expanding northwest Fresno retail hub, drawing keen crowds and bolstering a growing sense of community.
The Marketplace at El Paseo has undergone meaningful growth in recent years, attracting a diverse range of businesses including Regal Theater, The Hub Eats and Drinks, Five Below, and Hobby Lobby. The addition of Paris Baguette, anticipated for two years by the company, reflects a strategic investment in the area and caters to a demand for varied dining and shopping options. For local residents like Elaine Hazelton, the center’s evolution is a welcome change. “I was very happy to see Target move in so I would not have to drive across town. And the variety of new stores, Hobby Lobby is our favorite,” Hazelton said.
Hazelton was the first customer through the door at the soft opening, sharing pastries with friends who echoed her excitement. “It’s something relaxing, different and very bright,” remarked Yolanda Tobin.
District manager Moises Salinas expressed his team’s eagerness to become part of the Marketplace at El Paseo. “We understand it’s a risk. As it’s developing, we certainly know eventually we will see new peopel. We expect to also grow, especially with new establishments,” Salinas stated.Several other businesses are currently preparing to open within the shopping center, promising further expansion and opportunities for the Fresno community.
