(CNN)– Israeli army spokesman Admiral Daniel Hagari denied that the strikes launched by Hezbollah had damaged military installations in Israel.
“Despite Hezbollah’s claims, no damage was done to IDF bases, in the north or in the center,” Hagari said.
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, said that the main targets of the militia are the Israeli military base Glilot and Ein Shemer Airport.
Hagari pointed out that most of Hezbollah’s missiles and drones were intercepted or crashed in open areas.
“About 100 Air Force planes hit more than 270 targets in the meantime in southern Lebanon, destroying Hezbollah’s attack plans,” Hagari said.
In another context, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered two aircraft carrier groups to remain in the area, after Israel carried out “preemptive” strikes in Lebanon against Hezbollah.
