Thiruvananthapuram, india – P. jayakumar is stepping down as CEO of Toonz Media Group after 26 years, effective November โข30. The declaration marks the end of an era for the Indian animation โstudio, wich Jayakumar transformed from a local pioneer into a global player specializing in kidsโฃ and family entertainment.
JayakumarS departure comes as toonz continues to expand its international footprint, withโฃ studios and offices established across India, Ireland, Spain, โฃand New Zealand. โฃHis leadership has been instrumental in the company’s production and distribution of thousands of hours of animated content, collaborating with major studios, broadcasters, and โstreaming platforms worldwide. The transition is designed to ensure stability, with viswanath Rao, the group’s acting CEO, and recently โappointedโ finance director and boardโข member Karthik V.Kumar,โฃ facilitating the process.
