Honduranโ Electionโ Officialโฃ Condemns Unauthorized Release of Preliminary Results
TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – november 30, 2025 โข- โA Honduranโ election counselor, Ana Paola Hall, publicly โdenounced โthe โillegal publication of preliminary results and any data related to the electoral trend โขduringโข Sunday’s general election. Hall emphasized thatโ only the National Electoral Council (CNE) is authorized to disclose such data.
“Responsibility must be deducted fromโ those who engage in these practices,” hall insisted.
Sheโค alsoโ urged members of the Vote Receiving Boards (JRV) โto โคremain atโ their posts until the conclusion of the voting process, including theโ closing of polls, vote โคcounting, andโ transmissionโค ofโ official minutes and data.
“Take care โขofโ the popularโค will!”โ Hall urged, stressing theโฃ importance of a โtransparent process and safeguarding each stage of the count to ensure the results accurately reflect the decision of hondurans.
Hall reported that โคas of noon onโค Sunday, November 30,โข 1,019,608 registered voters had participated โขin the โขelection, describing โขthe turnout asโ “high.”
More than 6.5 million Hondurans are voting โฃto decide theโ next president, with candidates includingโ Rixi Moncada (Libre), Nasry Asfura (National), Salvador Nasralla (Liberal), โandโ Nelson รvila (Christian Democracy). The winnerโ will succeed Xiomara โCastro on January 27, 2026. These areโข the twelfth โคelections held in Honduras since the return toโ constitutional order in 1980, taking place โunder a state of exception in effect since December 2022.
