Dundee, Scotland – A Scottish woman has been sentenced to prison and banned for life from owning animals after leaving eight dogs to starve in a dilapidated apartment. The case, brought to light by the Scottish SPCA (SSPCA), highlights the severe consequences of animal neglect.

Balmoral Terrace, Dundee. Inspectors discovered a scene of extreme neglect, with several dogs already deceased.

Investigators believe a 12-year-old Chihuahua and a Shar Pei of similar age were consumed by other dogs within the apartment due to starvation.
The sole survivor,an American Bulldog, was found severely dehydrated and suffering from eye and ear infections.Veterinarians persistent the dog had recently given birth to puppies, adding to the severity of the neglect.
