JLC Gold Dispute โขRemains Unresolvedโข After Eight-hour mediation
Gothenburg,โข Sweden – November 3, 2025 โ – A day-long mediation attempt to resolve the dispute over gold discovered in a Mรถlndal villa linked to YouTubeโฃ group JLC ended Monday without a public announcement of any agreement, leaving the fate of the treasure โขuncertain.
The mediation, heldโ at the Gothenburg District Court,โฃ brought โtogether Carl Dรฉman and Lucas Simonsson of JLC, the craftsman who unearthed the gold, the previous homeowner, and โฃrepresentatives from the estate.The parties spent eight hours negotiating,hoping to avoid a trial โscheduled for February.โฃ However, mediator Karl glimnell confirmed that details of the discussions remain confidential.
The gold โฃwasโค initiallyโค found nearly two years ago in the home ofโค Dรฉman and Simonsson. The discovery sparked โฃa legal battle over ownership,โข pitting the currentโ homeowners against the craftsman and the previousโ seller. The outcome of the mediation – or the lack thereof – will determine whether โขthe case โproceeds โto court, were a judge willโ ultimately decide who rightfully possesses the gold.
“What has been said is that what happened during the negotiationโข – thereโข is secrecy about it. I can’t say anything,” glimnell told โthe Gothenburg Post. He emphasized the binding nature ofโค mediation confidentiality, โstating, “If you are a mediator, you, then everyone, must keepโ the agreements that you talk โabout andโ then โconfidentiality applies.”โ
