VIJAYAWADA – Recognizing the critical need โfor support in the immediate postpartum period, the Andhra Pradesh state government, under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), is preparing to re-introduce the โคNTR Babyโ Kit scheme. โฃThe program is โslatedโ to begin rolling out byโฃ the end of โขDecember or early January, providing โคessential care items to new mothers delivering in government hospitals.
The NTR Baby Kit scheme originally launched duringโข the NDA’sโ previousโ term โ(2014-2019) and is being revived with a renewed focus on improving maternal and child health outcomes throughout the state. The relaunch demonstrates a โฃcontinued commitment to reducing โฃinfant mortalityโค rates and ensuring a healthier start for newborns.
The โคscheme directly supports mothers โฃwho deliver in government healthcare โfacilities byโ providing a โคcompleteโข packageโข of postnatal care necessities for both mother and child. This initiative aims to alleviate some of the financial burden associated with new parenthood and ensure access toโ basic hygiene and comfort items.
Each NTRโข Baby Kit will contain 13 carefullyโค selected items, including:
- A baby bed with an integrated mosquito net
- Baby clothing
- Towels
- Washable nappies
- Baby โpowder
- Shampoo
- Oil
- Soap
- Soap box
- Rattle toy
- Carrying pouch
- Kit bag
These items are โintendedโ to beโ more than just products; they represent a tangible expression of support, dignity, and care for new mothers, particularly those with โlimited resources.
I โขtruly believe initiatives like the NTR Baby Kit scheme can make aโ real difference in the lives of new families.
