COLUMBUS,⁤ OH – ‌Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin is‌ the current⁢ favorite to win the 2025 Heisman Trophy, according to updated odds from BetMGM‍ as of December 2. The sophomore signal-caller⁤ leads the pack with +150 odds,‍ positioning him as the frontrunner heading into the offseason.

Sayin’s strong performance throughout the 2024 season has propelled him to the ‌top of Heisman projections. The rising star completed 78.8% of his passes⁤ for 3,065 yards and 30 touchdowns with only five interceptions in⁤ 12 games. East ‌Peoria junior ⁢quinton Kitt committed to the University of Illinois Fighting Illini basketball program on⁤ Thursday,choosing to ‌stay in-state for his collegiate career. The all-state guard/forward announced his decision⁢ via social⁣ media, selecting Illinois over offers from Bradley, Michigan, Iowa, Butler, DePaul, Toledo, Northwestern and Illinois State.

Kitt’s commitment marks a significant early win ‌for the⁣ Illini’s recruiting efforts in the class of 2027, adding a top prospect to a program currently ranked No. 13 nationally. For East peoria, it continues ‌a period of success following their first 20-win ⁢season since 1997.

During his sophomore season, the 6-foot-6 Kitt averaged 23.0 ⁣points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. He was recognized as a ⁣Journal Star Class 3A all-area‍ selection, as well as earning all-Mid-Illini Conference first team and Illinois ⁣Basketball Coaches Association all-state third team‌ honors.

Kitt is ranked as the no. ‌2 prospect ‌in illinois and⁣ a three-star recruit⁤ by 247Sports.com. He had also taken unofficial visits to Ohio State, Notre Dame and Indiana before making⁣ his⁢ decision.

Fort Collins, Colo.⁢ – The Colorado State Rams⁣ delivered ‌a stunning upset Thursday night, sweeping rival Colorado 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, ⁢25-17) at Moby Arena and handing the Buffaloes thier first loss of the ⁢season. The victory‍ marks a notable momentum shift ‍for CSU and a statement win in the annual Golden Spike rivalry.

Colorado entered the match with ‌a perfect 9-0 record,having dropped only three ‌sets all ⁣year.
