Shirley J. Howsman Elementary School’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has launched a fundraising campaign to bring the Go Green BMX show and an anti-bullying program to the school, with donations tied to dates in March.
The “Pick a Date to Donate” fundraiser asks parents and students to contribute an amount corresponding to a date in March – $6 for March 6th, $17 for March 17th, and so on, up to $31 for March 31st. Participants can choose to donate on multiple dates or sponsor the entire month, with bonus donations accepted in any amount, according to a statement released by the Howsman PTA.
Donations can be made online via Cheddar Up, accessible through a QR code, allowing students to share their individual fundraising links with family and friends. Alternatively, cash or checks payable to the Howsman PTA can be collected and submitted by April 1, 2026.
The fundraising effort aims to cover the costs of bringing the Go Green BMX show and its accompanying anti-bullying program to the elementary school. A YouTube video promoting the fundraiser, titled “Howsman PTA Fundraiser 2026 – Pick a Date to Donate – Go Green BMX Show,” has been published online.
Go Green BMX has previously performed at Fuerza Families, receiving recognition for their show, according to a post on Facebook. Fuerza Families recently completed a fundraising campaign of their own, raising $28,999.
The Howsman PTA emphasized that every dollar raised will directly contribute to bringing the BMX show and its anti-bullying message to students.
